The Hanochos program is geared for Bochurim in Mesivta to watch video Farbrengens of the Rebbe and understand what the Rebbe is saying, as a preparation for Gimmel Tammuz.
The program is built in a way that a Bochur who hasn’t yet watched a full Farbrengen or a long video of the Rebbe beforehand, will – at the end of the six week program – be able to focus on watching a full Farbrengen of the Rebbe and understand what the Rebbe is saying.
The participants join a viewing of a Video of the Rebbe twice a week starting the first week with a ten minute video, and increasing each week with an additional minutes, culminating the final week by viewing a full hour long video, which totals 12 viewings and over 7 hours long of the Rebbe’s Farbrengens.
After each viewing, the Bochurim then sit to write down their very own Hanacha on the the video they have just viewed.
The Hanachos are marked and those which pass all twelve Hanachos receive an automatic prize of $100 in Kehos, which is given out at the closing event by Gimmel Tammuz in Crown Heights. The top three finals win a Ticket to the Rebbe’s father’s Tziun in Kazakhstan for Chof Av.
The top three Hanachas of each week are featured weekly for the pubic to see.
